It is always prudent

when picking up some knitting you’ve not worked on for a while to double check which piece of the garment you are working on and not to just assume that you’re knitting the back. This will omit the turning of the pattern page, wondering why there are notes beside the pattern instructions for the right front and discovering that you’ve messed it up yet again and will have to rip out what you’ve just done…

And following my normal behaviour, as the weather is horrible and I’m in need of trousers I cut the pattern and picked out the fabric for a very nice summer dress last night, kind of sums me up really.
